As someone new getting into fountain pens, it is frighteningly clear as to what pens to buy, but there is not really an established flowchart or guide to buying pen cases, which are quite important to the longevity of our wondrous tools.

If you kind folks here in this community would pop out some recommendations for some of these categories/your experiences with them, it would be so helpful for us current newbies and the future ones who roam this subreddit! Will be updating this as the recommendations roll in :)

Lihit Lab Case $10, holds 10+ pens, (Pens may or may not scratch, read quotes below)

Currently with 12 pens, a mechanical pencil, a calculator, eraser, whiteout, 2 rulers, and a lead refill container.
This case has been perfect for my needs, and I highly recommend it.

The only downside is that the pens rub against each other (could carry less pens to avoid) and my vanishing point has some scratches from being placed opposite of a LAMY clip

I have the Lihit Lab Compact Pen case and frequently carry 10 pens in it. No scratches so far (I did have a Decimo VP and Lamy opposite of each other and my Decimo is still scratchless)
